Archaeological Monitoring for Goldendale Sewer System Improvements Project

Plateau was hired for archaeological monitoring of a sewer system improvement project, following a 2013 cultural resources survey. Plateau provided archaeological monitoring for one geotechnical borehole at the proposed lift station.  Archaeological monitoring of the project was performed at the request of Pioneer Surveying and Engineering and the City of Goldendale to insure proper treatment should any cultural resources be disturbed during the geotechnical investigation.

No cultural materials or evidence of archaeological deposits were observed during excavation monitoring of the proposed lift station for the Goldendale Sewer System Improvements Project.  No historic properties were found or affected during excavations, and no cultural material was recorded.  Plateau recommends that no further archaeological work is necessary at the lift station location.
