Idah Whisenant has lived in Idaho for 13 years and has worked across Idaho, Washington and Oregon as a field technician for the past three years. She graduated from Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston, Idaho with a Bachelor of Arts in 2014. Her BA is in social sciences with an emphasis in History, and participated in an cultural anthropology field school to Ecuador. She combined her interests in anthropology and history, earning an M.A. in Anthropology from the University of Idaho with a specialization in historical archaeology in 2018. Through Idah’s thesis research on one of North Idaho’s first steamboat settlements and as a field technician for various firms, she has gained a wide-ranging regional knowledge of historic and prehistoric archaeology. Idah began work with Plateau Archaeological investigations in February 2020.
