Plateau Archaeological Investigations conducted a cultural resource survey for the proposed Edwall Water Association’s Comprehensive Water System Plan. Improvements to the existing water supply system included a new production well and pump house, approximately 2.7 linear miles of new and replacement water mains, and 40 new services. The proposed project is being partially funded by United States Department of Agriculture Rural Development monies, and as such is subject to Section 106 compliance.
Plateau Archaeological Investigations completed a pedestrian survey and minimal shovel probing for the proposed project. No Native American or Euroamerican cultural material or features were observed during the investigation. Plateau recommended that the project proceed as planned without further archaeological investigations.
