Plateau’s client sought to reroute approximately one-mile of transmission power line between two existing points on a transmission line corridor spanning the Swawilla Basin on the Colville Indian Reservation. The Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation (CCT) requested that a cultural resource survey be completed prior to ground disturbing activities, and Plateau’s cultural resource survey was carried out under the authority of a CCT Archaeological Investigation Permit. Subsequent to the results of the cultural resource survey, Plateau worked with the CCT History/Archaeology Program and the client to establish guidelines for inadvertent discoveries, post-review discoveries, or changes in project description.
