In 2008, Plateau conducted a cultural resource survey of the Gold Creek Substation as part of the Methow Transmission Project. The survey covered 2.0 acres and included the review of two geotechnical bore spoil piles. No cultural material or features were observed during either the survey or screening of nearly a cubic meter of spoils.
