Realignment of a half-mile length of the Centennial Trail was planned to help avoid a congested intersection at the Spokane Bridge Road and Appleway Road. The realignment project was funded by State funds, triggering a need to meet the requirements of Executive Order 05-05 and consider the potential impacts to historic properties prior to project execution. Plateau completed a pedestrian survey and subsurface investigations in 2010. No new cultural resources were recorded and it was recommended that the project proceed as planned.
